This hotel is a tale of 2 polarised halves and experiences. Accommodation wise the hotel is perfectly located just north of General Luna in the Catangnan area and a leisurely 10 minute stroll from Cloud 9. Having deliberated over whether paying double for a poolside room was worth it we took the plunge and don't regret it. Staying there for a week with the fantastic pool on our veranda made our stay. The waterside views and relaxation beds are spectacular too. The staff are incredibly helpful (Gia is a marvel!) and friendly as always in the Philippines. Unfortunately, thereafter things deteriorate as the rest of the services you expect from a hotel at these prices are not up to standard because they appear to have outsourced the provision of them. Number one calamity is the breakfast because it is ATROCIOUS. Actually, it would probably need to improve to be atrocious. We tried it on day one and didn't go back. It's not a big hotel so they can't be expected to provide a conveyer belt of hot, multi-continent choices but they can do better than; 1. only one type of juice - watermelon 2. all the 'hot' food being at room temperature 3. coffee from an over stewed filter pot 4. stale and likely day old pancakes My suggestion to the hotel would be to bring breakfast in-house and employ two cooks to make everything to order and the offering...More
