This was the best meal we had in the entire Vezere River Valley. Unfortunately, they did not have a three-course menu available for dinner, so it was rather pricey. We had one of the daily specials, tuna in a spectacular berry sauce. Absolutely scrumptious.
This restaurant is located in a beautiful spot, in the center of town, with lots of parking, and right on the Vezere River. We ate outside on a lovely summer evening. You had better make reservations or get there early since the restaurant fills up quickly.

This modern riverside restaurant was recommended by our hotel as a good place to take some French friends to dinner. We found the food somewhat overpriced, the menu limited (reminded me somewhat of the old childhood game duck-duck-goose).

Although this restaurant is recommended by Rick Steve's, it is undersold...at least in the 2017 book. We had an exceptional lunch. Ingredients were very fresh and the presentation was artistic. The mushroom omelet was the best I've ever had anywhere. And the pork en croute was the perfect size with a delicious mushroom sauce.

We arrived for lunch with several young children after visiting Lascaux. Great location with lovely river views, very airy and clean design.

Service was professional and efficient but somewhat snobbish and cold, almost stereotypically French *lol*

As for the food - overall it was very good. Cepe omlette was delicious but was more scrambled eggs. Steaks were again delicious but small. Soup was ok, nothing fancy but very well done. Good vegetarian platter.

All in all, very good place but average vfm.

We've been in Montignac a day or two for Lascaux and other sites. Decided to eat out and chose this restaurant based on reviews and as I'm vegetarian. Arrived early and the service was very friendly as others have said... Unfortunately the service was also rather confused as we were served drinks we didn't order and desserts we hadn't chosen. The food was fine, though again slightly confused and we noticed as the evening wore on fellow diners were definitely not getting as much as we had. The location is fantastic and I think a long lazy lunch or dinner here in summer would be great as long as you're not expecting haute cuisine. Perfectly ok on a rainy February evening, but we've had better.
