The place is easy to find. Serene and really beautiful.

Fine black sand, clean (no rocks) shore line and beach.

Nice room, as well as the beds. I liked that they have fleece blanket. A/C is strong.

Bathroom with complete toiletries, strong water pressure also.

Food is just okay. Menu is limited but for me its just enough to choose from. Many restaurant outside of the camp also.

Staff were friendly and courteous, most of them. Except their restaurant staff. Needs re-training. Saturday morning, During the "buffet" breakfast they were panicking. Once we stepped into the restaurant they were saying (in a louder tone but not to the point of shouting) "self service" and a bit grouchy. Since guests were full inside the restaurant our Dad gave the stubs to the staff and went to find empty tables outside facing the beach side (nicer view though). So we lined up and when it was our turn to get some food, the lady asks us "asan stub niyo" (again grouchy voice). I told her that our stub were given by that guy in the orange shirt and point to our dad. I asked if we can get some food since we were lined up already and to follow the stub later. She looked at us and we were not allowed to get food, since some guests are lined up, our group stepped out of the line and I went to our dad to assists us. He told them that I gave it to you already point to one of the staff, and told her our room number. She stared at us and point to the food, hand signalling of "go ahead". All the kitchen utensils were wet, straight from the dishes actually. We asked if we can have some tissue to dry it out and they point out over there. That door is near the kitchen so we went over there get some tissue and the staff carrying the mugs splashed the remaining water in our feet. We reacted "hey, ate nabasa mo kame" she just went on (maybe because she is just in a hurry). They looked like they were all panicking and a bit chaotic.

Friday night, we went to the bar at the second floor of the restaurant. They were having acoustic night band, it was nice upstairs and we enjoyed our meal. However, the staff follows the rule of "Pay as you order". Literally as "pay after you order". So whenever we order we pay after. We stayed in that bar for 3 hours, since we were also drinking and enjoying the acoustic band. So it was a bit inconvenient in our part to order then pay, then order and pay, order pay and order pay.

Sunday morning we went to buy brewed coffee, we paid and while waiting we asked if we can go to the roof deck to get some photo. I told them that since we were leaving already we will be back after a minute. They said yes we went up, took some photos and hurried back down stairs. While walking down the stairs we overheard the lady asking her co worker "nasan na ba yung nag order ng kape tagal tagal naman nun" in a irritated voice. I answered, that's us. Her co worker told her "lagot ka kay Ma'am pala yan, narinig ka ni Ma'am". I told her we were in a hurry also since we were checked out already and just buying coffee to transfer in our mugs.

I over heard one of the guests, when we were checking in, that she asked one of the staff when she's buying fruit shake if she is angry. I never knew, that we will experienced it also. After all we are the guests and we are the ones adjusting to their behaviours.. Anyway, they need retraining... specially when we knew that the owner, is very accommodating and warm during our telephone inquiries.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely go back, here in Nalu, we learned how to surf and we liked it. Nalu is one of the best place in Baler.

Nalu has a beachfront location along Sabang Beach - the best take off point to go surfing! Altho since there were just too many tourists when we were there wanting to learn to surf - they ran out of surfing instructors! What's a Surf School without teachers?

So my nephews and nieces just rented surf boards and tried their best to learn by looking at others. Not very successful.

The nipa hut cum cottage where we stayed was good for 8 pax, with a double bed plus pullout at the ground floor, and 2 single beds with pullouts at the loft. I liked that they provided verandas for hanging out. The beds, pillows, blankets, towels were of excellent quality. The AC was cool and the basic toiletries were enough for all of us. I loved the rain shower but the hot/cold water was a challenge to "program."

Most of the staff were helpful - and since we were celebrating a birthday, we had birthday cakes we bought from Manila (bad idea) that needed refrigeration, the staff at the resto allowed us the use of their freezer for a couple of hours.

Food was ok - but I loved their fresh fruit shakes the most, especially watermelon - so refreshing! They need to add more fruits to their menu - how about mango, buko, guyabano?

I loved how they have ringed their property with accents that make excellent natural photo frames for taking pictures. There are still some construction going on (for a pool, I think) so there's some kind of chaos around.

We loved our stay here. Well, except for the rude staff whose mobile number was listed online as contact number for the resort. My young niece called that number to ask if we could do some grilling. This person answered her so rudely that the poor child was traumatized and wouldn't touch the phone for days! Paging the owner of Nalu, please train your staff better and assign a person with good manners to answer inquiries. And fire this rude man pronto! A lot of people are looking for jobs. Clearly this rude person does not love his so why keep him to disrespect your guests?

Oh and please could you do something about all the smoking? We wanted to breathe some fresh air (we traveled more than 7 hours to have some!), only to inhale the same sidestream smoke available where we came from! And please help keep the beach clean - lots of trash along the beach right in front of the resort.

Room tip: choose rooms facing the beach, with hammock

The long drive was definitely worth it! Nalu is perfect for a weekend getaway with friends and family :) Beach front was great. The rooms were clean and spacious. Felt safe during our entire stay since security personnels consistently roved around the resort. Will surely come back!

We went here last February 2018 and stayed in their Ifugao House. Okay, I get the idea but I didn't like the hassle going downstairs to use the comfort room. If you are a tall person, I dont recommend that you stay here because the ceiling of the room is not high at all. We were disappointed with their breakfast because they have a buffet setup but can only choose 2 viands and a fried rice and you can't go back for a 2nd round.

The resort is a beachfront but there is a hallway in front of the facility so expect a lot of people passing by during early until late afternoon. The room is clean and air conditioned but we needed to call their staff repeatedly because the door has never been easy to unlock using their key. I might consider going back but will check other resort in Baler before doing so.

I enjoyed the warm welcome from the hotel and resort staff. We stayed in one of the Ifugao Nipa Hut rooms. Bathroom is clean and the room is nice. Their cafe also offers good set meals for guests and its quite affordable.

It was our last day, we woke up early at 7 am and went to their cafe for breakfast. We were informed that breakfast will be served at 7:30am so we've decided to take a walk by the beach.

We got back at 7:30 am and had breakfast. When we returned to our room, we noticed that my phone is missing. I immediately checked our wallets and our money is gone. The thief didnt steal our credit cards and IDs. But all money we have to pay for the accommodation & transportation to get back to Manila was stolen and not to mention, mobile phone.

We reported the incident to the hotel staff right away. A police came in to investigte but couldnt do anything as the resort does not have CCTV cameras ans there's just one security guard roaming around the resort.
Anyone even outsiders may access the resort.

We've talked to the owner, she was very nice and kept on apologozing for the stress. They agreed to replace the money we've lost & charged us free from accommondation.

It was a stressful situation thatI wouldnt want to be on ever again. The vacation could have been a memorable one but because of lack of security inside the resort, I dont think I will choose to stay in Nalu again.

I will definitely go back to Baler but not in this resort.

The staff were nice and very friendly.

Nalu is a place where family and friends can enjoy the warmth of sabang beach, surfing, swimming and just relaxing under the sun. It's a perfect getaway for anyone where one can be free from the stress and cares of the urban life.

Through the years it has adhered to the highest standards of customer service, hospitality, security and safety by equipping its facilities and personnel with the industry's best.

We value our customers passionately recognizing that without their utmost satisfaction, we are nothing.

It has come to our attention that there has been an unfortunate incident that occurred within nalu surf camp last month.

Upon learning this, we are currently working on tightening our sevice in terms of security - from the guards to the amenities.

As for the CCTV cameras, most are newly installed and more are still in the process of being mounted; hence no camera appeared to have captured the said debacle.

We are currently working with the authorities to address the said incident and have partially closed a settlement with the involved party. Other dues will be rightly given after the investigation.

We are committed to give our customers quality service - from accommodations, security, to experience - in making your stay memorable.

We thank you for your trust.
