FILTHY HOTEL, LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE ADVERTISED PHOTOS. 1 STAR AT BEST!!!

Review of Tradewinds

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. IT IS NOTHING LIKE THE ADVERTISED PHOTOS ON BOOKING.COM. 1 STAR AT BEST!!!! FILTHY.

This hotel looks nothing like the advertised photos on booking.com. The images look stunning and the surroundings are amazing. On arrival, we were so disappointed with the hotel. It looks nothing like the photos. The staff at reception were very polite. however, the hotel is a total dump. 1 Star in my opinion.

Our room was tiny, malodorous and had ripped carpets. There was no room to swing a cat. Everything was jammed-packed.

The bedroom was small and stank. The air con unit was filthy and the air that was blowing out of it was disgusting. I don't think it had ever been cleaned. There was no way I was letting that air blow on me at night!!!

The corridors around the room were awful, there were empty trays with half-eaten food lying everywhere, and napkins blowing around the lobby floors. The lift was filthy and stained,

The pretty rooftop bar in the advertised photos was not open and did not look like anything as advertised.

The swimming pool was the worst I have ever seen in my life!!
You could see the dirt in the pool and the scum lying all over the top of the pool. It again looked nothing like the advertised photos. It was small and disgusting, There was no way I would even step foot in that pool. There was a family there with their small children who were eating crackers in the pool. (Adding to the filth)
The sunbeds were stained brown and looked as if they were very old, with holes in them and dirt all over them.
Again nothing as advertised!!.

So as you can imagine we did not stay. We were there for approximately 1 and a half hours. We ate at the restaurant and again it was disgusting. The waitresses came out with one plate at a time and we were waiting to get our food whilst others had no choice but to eat there's as they had been waiting so long and it was cold.
The tables were old and tatty. Again nothing like the photos.

We left the hotel. I spoke to the manager prior to our departure and said there was no way I was staying here as it was nothing like the advertised photos. He did offer me an alternative room . However, I informed him that I had booked the Ritz and was going there immediately as I knew there would not be any false advertising and I would not be disappointed.

I did ask if he would give me a refund and he said he was about to finish for the day and he would email me the next day with a refund. But guess what! Exactly as I expected no email!!!
I emailed a few days later and again as I expected a long-winded email apologising for the experience however he informed me that he did not offer me a refund and as I left voluntarily he could not issue one!!!
Well, you know what I am not surprised one bit!!! With the state of the hotel, I wouldn't expect anything else from the management.

If I was you I would NOT book this hotel.

There are far nicer ones to stay in that are as ADVERTISED AND NOT MADE TO LOOK GOOD USING PHOTOS TAKEN 10 YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!

This didn't spoil our holiday we had a fabulous time at the Ritz!.

Stayed here as my work booked me in, just moved to WA - ir was a perfect spot!
They have a laundry room which was sooooo handy, its open certain hours and you just go in and wash your stuff; washing powder and dryer provided. I was googling laundromats prior and was happy to see this when i checked in.
I went for breakfast each morning - eggs your way with salmon, avo and a squeeze of lemon - chefs kiss. They remembered my order which I thought was nice and one of those great small hospitality touches that I appreciate.

Emma on the desk was so bubbly and really fun to chat to, she has been with the company for a while and is a real gem.
My room was on the 3rd floor, it was immaculate - love the smell of the amenities in the rooms and the shower pressure was magnificent. Id come out my room and see the water view as well as their courtyard with the fairy lights! They have a pool and it was just a little too cold to jump in but I’m sure this is the place to be in summer.
When i want a little treat ill come back to Tradewinds - short uber ride away from Freo Markets.

Room tip: Build your own breakfast, the rye avo was not a filling enough breakfast for me personally.

Large spacious room for a family of 3. Friendly staff at both reception and on-site restaurant. Menu selection was good. Free guest laundry and on-site pool also has rooftop terrace to watch the sunset. On site parking is a plus however manoeuvering around it is quite tight.

Room tip: Would suggest to park before nightfall as it is difficult to manoeuvre within the car park in the evenings.

Despite reviewing this hotel as "disappointing" after a previous stay, we revisited Tradewinds last weekend. There were no areas to fault on this visit. The room was warmed to a pleasant temperature, clean, well stocked and provided all the amenities necessary for an enjoyable stay. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful from the front desk to the restaurant. The breakfast menu was varied, the meals arrived promptly and were delicious. Am very happy to recommend this iconic hotel, which occupies an ideal location in the Fremantle area, as an ideal accommodation choice.

This hotel is gorgeous! We knew the location was a little out of town but it’s still only about 30 min walk into town and for us, thats a lovely walk so we enjoyed the location. The reception is open 24hours so they are always there to help. Parking was $25 for secure parking. The hotel itself has a bar and restaurant. We went for just a night for our anniversary and the team gave us some complimentary drink cards along with a lovely note which we just loved! Such attention to detail. The room was clean and easily identifiable. They also sent a message with some additional add ons we could have purchased to make the night extra romantic. We really appreciated this attention to detail and just goes to show that when you add notes to your booking, they really try to make your trip the best it can be.
The beds are huge and I found quite comfortable. Very intimate vibe. The only downfall was we did eat breakfast the next morning and the waffles were advertised as Nutella and banana however I didn’t receive Nutella. But that’s just a tiny downfall in an overall wonderful night away!

Room tip: There is a guest laundry to use which is super helpful for longer stays. And a lovely pool area! There’s also a rooftop terrace for relaxing

We have stayed at the Tradewinds Fremantle a number of times. We have found the staff from reception to restaurant to be excellent. From chefs to front of house . No matter what time you arrive from morning until just before the restaurant closes at night We are always welcomed with smiles and nothing is too much trouble. Our stay this time is for 10 days and the friendliness and efficiency is always there We could mention names but it would be unfair to leave anyone out. Thank you amazing staff for making our stay here as enjoyable as possible 😊
