We really enjoyed our time on the ebikes and loved the vineyards and forest. You don't need a guide as the map you are given is easy to use. The bikes are excellent! However when we returned no-one was present at the hire shop which had been left open with our credit card and another persons ID card just waiting to be taken by anyone. Please be careful with your identification or credit cards, they do not keep them safe.

We took the electric cycle tour + wine tasting with Pascale.

The bikes are excellent and very easy to ride, even up hills in 30 degree heat!

Pascale was very friendly and well informed about the area and its history. The tour lasted about 2.5 hours in total, taking in a wine tasting, and some beautiful roads and countryside.

We had our one-year-old with us, who loved it, and the guide was very good with him too!

Probably the best mini-trip we have done since being in Provence, and we would highly recommend it.

We did the guided winery tour by e-bike. It was our back-up plan because the calanques were closed the two days we had in Cassis. Our expectations were kind of low, just looking for something to fill the time and explore Cassis and we were so glad we did this. It ranked as one of the top memories of our 2 week trip in Southern France and it was better than the 2 different days of biking with Sun-E bikes (also electric) in Apt and Gordes. I think having Pascale (I hope the spelling is right) as our tour guide was the best and having a tour guide means you can just relax and follow instead of worrying about the cars or planning a route and making sure you're on the right path. It was only my partner and I on the tour, we didn't book it this way, just the two of us showed up. Pascale was knowledgeable about all the sights and history, gave great communication while turning or crossing, encouraged stopping for photographs and even acted as our photographer. And the e-bike was perfect with all the hills, super leisurely. It was our first time on electric bikes and it's really easy to use. Cassis is really scenic and beautiful. We thought we were stopping for tastings at multiple wineries, but that obviously didn't make sense. We stopped at just one at the end of the ride and it turned out to be one of our favorite wineries for the taste (we didn't make it to Cote du Rhone region but tried some other famous wineries and still preferred the one in Cassis). I wish we had bought more bottles.

We found ourselves with an extra day or so at the end of our trip and thought we would go back to Cassis since we liked it so much (great beach town, great food) and do another e-bike ride with Pascale to explore Cassis more.

We booked our tour through the super helpful and multi-lingual staff at the visitor center of Cassis. We booked the day of and were originally supposed to go in the morning but then it turned out there was a huge tour group so we went a couple hours later which worked fine. Just know that it's a beach town and people are laid back so when they say 2pm, 2:10 is fine.

My husband and I decided to do the sunset e-bike tour as part of our trip to Cassis and we weren't disappointed!! Even though we were the only English people on the tour we joined, we were made to feel welcome - our 2 guides were really friendly and explained in English and French points of interest on the tour, as well as taking some really good pictures of us!

We visited La Ciotat, then ascended the Cap Canaille to watch the sunset with wine and tapenade - it was absolutely beautiful and a memorable evening.

From a safety point of view, the e-bikes themselves were explained clearly and were really good fun! We were offered a helmet, the bikes had good lights which were very effective in the dark during the descent and the brake pads are changed every 10 days. The only negative was the route we took (which was unavoidable) into La Ciotat was very traffic heavy and at times a bit un-nerving. While we are commuter cyclists and our guides did a lot to mitigate against this - stopping traffic at various points and encouraging us to stick together - people who are not used to riding in heavy traffic may find this aspect of the ride a little daunting.

Despite this, I would recommend doing a guided tour with Cassis a Velo as you will create memories that will last a lifetime!

Renting the electric velo, price € 49 for the whole day, you can see the vineyards and pine wood over Cassis and therefore arrive at the beginning of the paths towards Les calanques. They give you a map and good informations
