We had to ski here as Cauterets was shut due to too much snow. Pont d’Espagne is beautiful, well worth going just to for the breathtaking scenery. The runs aren’t the most challenging but the views make it worth it. I’m so pleased Cauterets was shut giving us chance to explore this lovely landscape.

We went as a day trip from Cauterets. It is really easy as there is a regular shuttle bus and the journey takes about 20mins. We decided to go for a tour snowshoeing which I think it one of the best ways to see Pont d'Espagne. There is good facilities at the bottom near the cable car and the actual bridge is only about a 10min walk from the carpark. If you take the cable car it goes near the bridge but stops further up where you can either walk or ski back down depending on the weather. Definitely a beautiful place to go and makes a change to Cauterets.

We went on this trip hoping to see snow for the first time, but instead we both get to see snow and a beautiful waterfall flow across the bridge. The scenery was captivating! The stream flowing next to the layer of snow is just indescribably beautiful. The people working here are friendly knowing we are foreigners (special thanks to one of the security guards who worked there that showed us the way up to the mountains in english so we didn’t get lost). In the end, a great journey, doesn’t cost much, must wear many layers of coats and huge winter boots!

Drove up here end of October. We had planned to use the cable car but everything was closed so we couldn't. We didn't have to pay for parking. The place is stunning. Perhaps one of the most beautiful places I have been. You could walk for miles. With a 4 and 7 year old we couldn't get up to the lake on foot. I'll definitely be returning in the future
