Chiara is a super helpful woman! She goes out of her way to create a custom made tour as we wanted it. The piangrillo farm experience was amazing!! Lorenzo and his lovely family were so welcoming...spent a great day there learning about their stupendous wine, oil, prosciutto, salami, tomato paste, etc...wr visited also the animals and museums. Just great. At Modica then we had a workshop about chocolate making and we got to learn and taste their delicious chocolate! Thank you Chiara for being so efficient and for your great help!

We went to a cooking class at the house of an Italian family through Zuleima with our family of 5 (a 6 year old, a 16 year old, and a 12 year old). We made three kinds of focaccia bread (real focaccia which is completely different than gross American focaccia and totally delicious) with the wonderful mother of the house. However, this was not the best part. The best part was eating the meal with the family, because we had a lovely time talking and bonding. It was a real, very large Italian family complete with lots of extended family. Some people spoke English and some did not, but the language barrier wasn't a problem. They made different food along with the focaccia which was delicious and had fruit and cookies for dessert. We ended up staying at their house for 5 hours for the dinner! We left sadly and now fondly remember the night as one of our best in Italy.

*TIP* make sure to ask the family to eat with you! They originally set the table for just our family to eat but having everyone at once was such an amazing experience and we learned so much about Italy. They were too polite but upon insistence they were delighted to all eat together.

We only had a short time in Ragusa, and thought with it being a Sunday we were out of luck, but Chiara kindly arranged a visit for us to a place which made an served fresh ricotta cheese.
I would highly recommend everyone going through Ragusa or even nearby Scili to get in contact with Chiara!

Chiara of Zuleima arranged tours for our group of 11 friends in Ragusa and Modica. She was very flexible and kind during our email correspondence prior to our trip to Sicily.

Yvette guided us around in Ragusa. She was very friendly, enthousiastic and flexible and it was nice to have all the explanations in Dutch, our mother language.

In Modica we had a tour in English, given by Anna, She was a very kind and good guide with clearly a lot of experience. Chiara also arranged a short workshop where we could make the famous chocolate of Modica by ourselves.

We had a wonderful time in Sicily, thanks to the efforts of Zuleima. I can advice everyone to contact this organisation when visiting the south-eastern part of Sicily.
