First the restaurant was AMAZING, there is no need to ever leave the hotel for dinner, prices were really reasonable (we had sticker shock at prices for wine after being in Switzerland). The hotel staff was nice and friendly, most spoke English well. The front desk helped us book 2 excursions, one for Pompeii and another for a boat tour of the Amalfi Coast (highly recommend this tour). The hotel rooms could use some updating, the tiles on the floor were cracked in a few places, but it was very clean and there was A/C, which was wonderful. It would have been nice to be on the other side of the road, since I think it was quieter, but you did not notice the road noise at night. I would recommend making sure you have cash before going to the hotel, there is no ATM and you have to go to town on bus if you want to get cash. You need cash for renting towels, there is a surcharge of 1 Euro per person per day or something like that that must be paid in cash when checking out. Also, you need cash if you are going to book an excursions. The hotel is not in town, so it is ideal if you want to hang out more at the hotel and do excursions, vs. exploring town. There was a city bus you could take and we took it 3 times, but it was not our favorite. Pool was beautiful and a great place just to hang out for a day.

Room tip: Higher floor would be nice, make sure to have cash with you

We booked this hotel because of it's location ( being a few kms outside of Sorrento so a little quieter) and because of the views and the pool. The website imagery featured stunning views from the hotel rooms. Unfortunately, we were alloacted a room on the lowest floor (ground floor) so our view was disappointing to what we expected. [More road view than bay view]. Given it was my 50th birthday celebration, we asked it it was possible to have a room on a higher floor. The answer was "No" (in Italian), no explanation given. When I asked for a reason, Iwas told the hotel was full (which we later found out wasn't). We generally found the front desk staff not very friendly, and particularly abrupt and rude at check-out when I was querying items on the bill. Please note: if you stay here, you will be charged EUR2.50 per pool towel, and possibly won't be informed. We weren't!. If you want to change your wet pool towels for a dry one, that will cost another EUR2.50! It is one thing being charged for a pool towel in the first place, but another not being able to change it FOC for another! You will also get charged a surcharge of EUR2.00 PER PERSON for ordering any food at the pool. Outrageous! We ordered Panini's which ended up costing EUR8.00 each because of the surcharge which again we weren't told about (but apparently it is on the menu).

On the positive side, the downstairs restaurant and the food was great. The service in the restaurant was very attentive. The pool and the views from the pool and the terrace were also amazing. It was great having the pool to relax in after driving or sight seeing.

Unfortunately, we wouldn't stay there again because of the attitude and response of the front office staff at check-in and check-out. There are many other hotels in the area I'm sure who know that it is often politeness and the smaller things that make a difference to guests overall experiences.

Room tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor to get awesome views

Hotel location is 10 minutes of driving from Sorrento. The hotel has parking spots. Good breakfast. The hotel has nice indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The hotel overlooks Capri which is breath taking. Good value for your money.

We booked this hotel for a romantic break, and we are so glad that we did. Amazing views across to Capri, and a perfect way to spend some time with a bottle of Prosecco! The staff could not have been any more helpful. Regular buses stop right outside the hotel ( a tip is to keep a supply of both light blue and dark blue tickets which are only 1.2 euros each way, and you will then be able to catch either of the two lines - Light Blue are the Orange Buses and Dark Blue are the Red Buses ) The hotel is spotlessly clean and the aircon kept the room wonderfully cool. The blackout blinds do an amazing job of keeping the light out, and we had one morning where we were checking the time to see how early we had woken up when it was actually 10.00 am !. The restaurant is very nice although the food in Sorrento was amazing! The rooftop pool and bar is simply stunning. Overall this was a perfect break for us!
