Superbly located with good food and friendly, helpful service. The pool area is clean and has facilities and plenty of sunbeds. There are also tables and chairs in a shaded area with a great sea view. The hotel has wi-fi, sizeable well-equipped rooms and a bus stop outside for helping to explore the beautiful locale. You can also easily walk up into the main village or descend the the quaint harbour of Marina Lobra. I simply breathed a sigh of relief that I wasn't in Sorrento which although bustling and busy was only worth a day visit for me. I relished the peace and quiet of staying here whilst having the option to travel further afield. Strongly recommended for families with young children and couples of all ages.

Room tip: All the rooms were good but something with a balcony or sea view would enhance your experience.

Lovely hotel in a fabulous location. Clean, family run hotel in an area that we felt was a slice of the real Italy. You can walk up the hill about 40 mins to the small town or 5 mins down to the harbour with 4 restaurants. We liked Angelos the best. A good local bar where you can drink apple and prosecco and watch the sun go down.
Hotel also has marvellous sunset views from the restaurants and terraces.
Breakfast is continental with croissants, breads, hams, cheeses and some fruit.
Evening meal has to be selected at breakfast time and is very good. 3 courses. Fruit platter for desert is wonderful. All the waiters are absolutely lovely, polite and professional.
Rooms are fine. Bit small and don't seem to be many with balconies.
We only did 2 trips. Pompeii/Herculaneum booked through Jet 2. First sunday of the month admission is free. You can go by train but they don't run on Sundays.
Booked Amalfi coast boat trip through the hotel 50 euro each. Kids seem to pay full price for tours.

My partner and I recently returned from spending a week at the hotel and I never thought that I would end up crying, saying goodbye to the waiting staff. The service at the hotel and provided by all members of staff was outstanding. On arrival there was an issue with our bathroom but the hotel quickly offered us a much better alternative room.

My partner and I had booked a day trip to Rome with one of the travel companies. Whilst we were waiting outside for our pick up transport, the hotel receptionist was keen to wait out in the street so that we could have a cup of coffee before a long day travelling. The restaurant hadn't opened at this point but the staff opened early for us to ensure that we had something in our stomachs. Whilst we were having our coffee and breakfast our main waiter throughout our stay knew that we were going to Rome so therefore brought us bottles of water and packed lunch for us to take with us on our journey. At this point I was close to tears! The waiting staff really took us under their wings and made us feel as if we were receiving a personal service.

On another occasion, we asked the hotel if they could call a taxi to go into the town for a few drinks and the owner arranged for a member of staff to drop us off instead. We were so touched by how all the staff were more than happy to go above and beyond to provide excellent service.

We had an amazing holiday but the highlight was without a doubt the hotel staff and service which has never been the case on previous holidays despite the service always being very good. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area and the good effort and hard work by all the staff, especially our waiter (i'm gutted we didn't catch his name!) who was incredible. Also when giving a tip to our waiter he couldn't thank us enough and my only regret was not giving a bigger tip!

Lovely place, peaceful, food and service outstanding, I would love to go again, plenty of places to visit and easy to get around. As a woman on holiday alone I felt extremely safe when going out and about. Marina is lovely and u can spend the day there, pop along to the little cafe for a bite to eat. Woderful

We have just returned from a two week stay in this hotel. The location is great for trips to Sorrento, Amalfi, Capri, Positano and Vesuvius.

The hotel itself is family run and really has a lovely feel about it. The rooms are adequate and met expectations and were cleaned daily, someone else commented that their bedding was not changed and we did not find this to be the case as our bedding was changed every other day. The rooms are not ultra modern and look just like the photos on the booking sites. We paid extra to have a sea view room with a balcony and it really was worth the extra few pounds as the view is breathtaking.

The restaurant is run by Pasquale who is a member of the family and we really enjoyed the fact that there was proper table service and saw some real silver service. Luigi and all the other staff were friendly and attentive and all speak English very well but we found them encouraging and helpful when we tried a little Italian and we picked up a few phrases by making the effort. The food for our evening meal was lovely and we are now dieting as we couldn't resist the pasta and ice cream. Breakfast is typically continental with breads, meats, cheese and cereals on offer as well as cakes and croissants and we loved the fact that the hotel has retained it's identity by not trying to offer the "English" breakfast option. Surely the point of travel is trying local dishes?

The hotel is set in a quiet area near Marina della Lobra but we found that there was some entertainment on a Friday and Saturday night if you went across to the Nereidi or down to the harbour. A visit to Angelo's at the Marina is a must for lunch as you can have home cooked snacks whilst watching all of the fishing boats and yachts come and go from the harbour. Again this is a family run business with Angelo's wife and daughter in the kitchen and his other daughters out front but please go there with relaxation in mind as it's not a place to rush lunch. He also makes really good limoncello!

We really had a wonderful holiday here and will return without hesitation. Something to note though is that there are some quite steep hills to contend with. A bus runs hourly to take you uphill to Massa where you can get the bus to Sorrento but there is the walk back down so bear that in mind when shopping (we bought a bag with wheels on in Sorrento) This is not the location for those looking for an active nightlife scene but is definitely the location for those looking to enjoy Italy and get away from all the stresses and strains of life for a while.
