Amazing views of the lake from the elevated position , good prices, complimentary limoncello , i wanted it to be perfect but sadly my vegetables were almost cold, but we enjoyed the evening. Used as a wedding breakfast restaurant for those getting married in the Castle

The restaurant is in a perfect location in malcesine, set on a quiet lane just moments away from the busy centre so you can enjoy a quiet dinner. We had a table on the outside terrace, nestled on the side of the castle with a stunning view over the lake.
Food was really delicious - we had trout carpaccio with lemon juniper and soy, an avocado soufflé with local cheese , aglio olio spaghetti to share, fillet of beef with truffle sauce and osso bucco.
Everything was tasty but the trout carpaccio was very fresh, tasty and a good portion aize. The beef fillet was huge and juicy and perfectly cooked, the truffle sauce was delicious but the meat is so good you really don’t even need any sauce, smashing value at 22 eur. The spaghetti aglio olio was simple but perfect and great split into two portions .. had a very nice and very reasonablly priced amarone for 35 eur, but the rest of the wine list offered deciebt options at decent prices.
Service was good too, waitresses were very nice and helpful and attentive. Really surprised this is not higher ranked in the lists but I would guess it’s down to Its slightly hidden location . Would give 6 stars if I could!

We ate dinner outside on the upstairs patio abutted to the Castello with views of the lake, a wonderful setting. The young ladies worked so hard to ensure everything was to our satisfaction, always with a smile and kind words. The food is amazing, try the Osso Bucco, delicious, the meal was concluded with a complimentary glass of good quality Grappa. An evening to remember.

We decided to have a change from our hotel food and were really happy with our choice here at the Paradiso Perduto. We had a recommendation from our tour operator which also included 10% discount. Without the recommendation we would not have found it as a little off the normal streets of Malcesine. We had a table with a lovely view over the rooftops and to the lake. The staff were pleasant and you were not rushed in and out. We had a starter and a main and desert with a glass of wine and water and it came to around 75 euros and they also brought a complimentary coffee or liqueur at the end of the meal. Would recommend.
