Family run hotel, centrally located, wonderful hospitality. The room was sufficient, larger than normal shower for Italy, with typical breakfast. Ordered fresh coffee, don't think they charged us. Restful, convenient to port and local restaurants. Go to Villa Liberty for dinner - the best ever.
Wish we could have stayed a other day.

Conveniently located one block off Lipari's main street, about 300m from the ferry / hydrofoil port, La Filadelfia is a good choice for all types of customer from couples, families to groups. Rooms are clean, large, comfortable and well-furnished, and have all the necessary facilities. Although not in use so early in the year, there is a swimming pool and patio area. Breakfasts are perfectly adequate and include fresh, warm bread rolls and cakes. An archaeological site adjoins the hotel.

What stood out was how helpful the staff were. Visitors to the Aeolian Islands should be aware that they can live up to the name, and hydrofoils don't operate when winds/waves become excessive. With a group of 32 we were faced with being unable to reach Milazzo in time to make connections to Catania airport and return flight to UK. Aware of our problem, the hotel staff arranged for a coach to meet us on the delayed ferry at Milazzo, and we reached the airport with time to spare...along with the bonus of a view of Etna in full eruption. For this we were extremely grateful!

The hotel is run by the whole family - even the aunts and cousins, and I had a great time talking to each one! My favorite person is the cute and charismatic son managing the restaurant. It's in the center of downtown, 1 block away from the main street, but it's perfect to where you don't hear the nightlife. I love the private garden, pool, and bar outside. They also have a great dance/yoga/pilates studio in the basement where I sweated and toned up, whew! I also got a massage from the really sweet massage therapist who gave me a free clay mask on my face, hands, and feet for booking a 2 hour massage with her, what a relaxing thing to do! Lipari is beautiful, especially the side of the island with the sunset and other islands in a panoramic view! Can't wait to return!

Room tip: 2md or 3rd floor room with a view of the pool garden!

La Filadelfia is a family run hotel in Lipari, very convenient to reach the city centre and port.
We staied there 1 weekend (end of July 2012) with a group of 13 girls.
Very clean, staff nice and helpful and great location.
I definitely recommend it!

We stayed here in 2010 for 5 nights - our room was in the new part and was very nice. The pool area / garden was enjoyable' we had a nice picnic lunch there one day. The pool was small but since few were using it, it was fine.
The management / owners were very friendly and accommodating. Due to rough seas, our trip was delayed by one day and they were very gracious in working with our change in arrival.
Breakfasts were quite adequate (typical European breakfasts).
The location is great - on a quiet street just a couple of blocks from the main avenue in Lipari.
We will stay here again!!!

Room tip: Ask for a room in the new addition at the back.
