This beautiful, simple hotel is just off the main road immersed in a green environment. Very well kept, clean and friendly service. It has a beautiful garden and swimming pool area to relax in summer. Just next door there are some horse stables, privately owned so you can go horse-riding too with a trainer. Pets welcome. The only negative aspect is the poor breakfast buffet. You'd expect a little more for what you pay.

The week we booked this hotel and planned this trip Abruzzo dominated the news for all the wrong reasons. It was too late to cancel and when we landed in Rome it was sunny and hot so we just decided to go ahead as planned. The hotel was excellent, modern built with no corners cut it even held the promise of a Michelin star chef, just our luck he was on what must be a well deserved holiday. The staff and the hospitality was impeccable. We stayed only one night Abruzzo was all snowed in and the Fiesta we ended up with was not built or equipped to take snowy roads.

Stayed for one night on our trip from the Amalfi coast to the north. Hotel is fine, room is clean, good airco (which turns off when the target temp is reached), great shower.

However, we didn't really feel welcome. Receptionist was standoffish and when she couldn't promptly find our reservation, she asked us first when we reserved (weeks before) and then if it was at this hotel (really?!). After handing over our passports she did find the reservation, obviously.

Since we had some time to kill we wanted to go to L'Aquila on foot, wouldn't recommend: you have to walk quite a distance to the piazza di duomo and furthermore, alongside a busy 90km/h road without a sidewalk. So if you want to visit the city and not take your car: choose a different hotel.

Breakfast next day was good with different kinds of sweet and savoury options and coffee made to order.

Hotel in excellent position within easy drive of city centre, approximately 1 hour drive to skiing, and the beach, 1 1/2 hour drive to Rome.
The hotel was clean and comfortable, ( although the beds were quite hard!).The bathroom was modern with excellent shower.
The hotel has a choice of restaurants, both very reasonable, and delicious food.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The gourmet restaurant was excellent- both food and service, and great value for money.
I would recommend a car to enable you to visit the beautiful areas in and around L'Aquila.
