We came here for dinner during our vacation. We ordered two set (one with sliced steak, another with grilled meat)
The appetizer was very delicate and delicious! The red wine owner suggested us was very good and smooth. The steak was the best we ever had! Grilled meat (sausage and ribs) and potato were good as well but a little bit salty. At the end we paid around 75 euro and we think it was fair price for what we had! The owner also speaks english and was being very friendly to us and our baby! Definitely will come back again!

We had lunch at Osteria Al 26 two days in a row on our visit to Fano--can't wait to return for a dinner experience.
The daily specials were different and delicious! Soups, Lasagna, pasta dishes and vegetable sides were all fresh and tasteful! We found the service to be really fast and good. You can tell these are people that really care about their food and their customers. We sat upstairs in the restaurant but there is a lower level also. The decor of the place is really fun and very European-- when in Fano don't miss a visit to this restaurant! Prices are also very good, a real value for what you are served.

Where to start? From the chicken as salty as the dead sea, a beer spilled on the table and no gesture neither to replace it or change the table clothe. No effort to speak in english and a really unfriendly service... Plus the food was not so good. Horrible experience for a birthday meal with my girlfriend.

The restaurant look cute while we were walking through the town so we went back for dinner. We were greeted with mild rudeness from the owner upon arriving without reservation. Our appetizer dish was excellent so therefore we were looking to an even greater main course and dessert but that was not to be. Both main dishes were salty to the point of being almost in edible. Due to the arrogance and rudeness of the owner and his treatment of the waitstaff we did dare not complain as we were afraid of being yelled at by the owner. At no point did any of the staff check on us nor explain any of the dishes even though we were given menus in English and one of the waitresses clearly spoke possible restaurant English. We watch them as they explained the dishes and appetizers to other guests who must've been local but we were shoved in the corner and ignored. The pastry portion of our tasting menu was probably just leftover dried breakfast cakes sprinkled with sugar and coconut powder. It definitely was not worth our time or our money. To top it off we were placed in the interior dining room on the first floor where it was about 40°C which added to the discomfort of our overall dining experience.

We had walked by this restaurant earlier in the day. It is tucked away in a small ally. Went back later, once dinner was being served, and the food looked amazing! We were able to secure a table for two inside the restaurant (they have outdoor seating, main room seating, and more tables one floor down) without a reservation.
The servers were very nice and spoke English well, so we were able to have any questions answered. The owner manager did not say much to us, however we did see/hear him being very confrontational to some of his female staff.

We ordered a bottle of the house white wine, which was very good.
Food:
My fiancé and I decided to both order off the tasting menu since the prices were very good. I had the vegetarian tasting and he had the #1 tasting.
Both of the antipasti starters we had were amazing! Some of the best food we have ever had! The veg tasting has an additional hot item which comes out once you finish the first plate. This was OK- a bit salty. Both antipasti were enough for two people. The plates were dropped off without descriptions of the items (no one else was in the restaurant room at this time). When a larger party came In Later,
They received a detailed explanation of the items.
Unfortunately, the main courses were a big let down. The Cacio e Pepe was EXTREMELY salty. For me it would have been in edible. The vegetarian cappellecci was also VERY salty. Neither one of us has an aversion to salty food, but they were both over salted.
The tasting menus come with dessert- a "pastry tasting". When the plate was brought out, it was again just dropped, no explanation. The items, sponge cake types of bites, were very dry and we did not eat them.
