It's worth the easy climb up to see a great view of the walls & sea. You can walk through the ruins and explore.

There's a single well-preserved tower, ramparts open till 7 pm and some museums open only in the morning, when we prefer staying on the beach. Half an hour before closing the alarm was actuated about three times, so I couldn't figure out when it was actually the time to get out. Unpleasant, like air raid sound. What's the point? The total number of visitors at this hour was may be seven plus two dogs.

A must wander thru! The ground were pretty, several feral cats followed us. :) The castle itself is beautiful and seems to be people living in apartments within the wall!

As it quite a high spot in the town above the harbour you have a very goo view of the costline line. And Amy 10 years old boy of Amy age like the towers, walls and fortifications.

The castle is next to the Centro Storico or old town. Combine the 2 and you have a good day out. You can walk through the old town down to the Duomo and find plenty of bars for a coffee
