Every aspect of our stay at Cristallo was exceptional from the first moment to the last. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a classic European style. The bathrooms have gorgeous marble detailing. The breakfast buffet was spectacular and the staff were eager to help us with any questions we directed their way. Giovanni at the reception desk is a truly exceptional staff member who helped make our stay seamless, enjoyable, and unforgettable. Thank you all!

The good: the hotel is beautiful, the rooms are spacious with lovely bathrooms and the views are spectacular.

The bad: It's a long walk to town to shops and restaurants, and the walk back is a climb up a steep hill.

The ugly: the staff is haughty and very impressed with itself. I have never been treated so rudely in all my years of travel. I guess if you aren't a celebrity they consider you a second-class citizen. This was particularly the case with the dining staff, who were rude when we asked questions about the menu, and attempted to rush us through the meal (even though the restaurant was more than half empty). They even brought the bill before offering us dessert and coffee -- and expressed annoyance when we insisted on ordering some.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Cristallo, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa during your recent stay in Cortina.

We are very glad to learn that you enjoyed your accommodation and facilities, as well as the incredible views of the Cortina Valley and Tofane Dolomites; on the other hand, we are sorry to read that you considered the Hotel far away from the center, as we are located only 7-8 minutes walking from there and we do provide a complimentary shuttle service from-to town which runs continuously during the day.

We are also concerned about your comments on our staff’s behavior and attitude, as the entire Hotel team is usually praised by our Guests for their attentiveness and service; for this reason, we would love to know a bit more about the experience you had in order to better understand what happened and take the appropriate actions, so that we can prevent it from proposing this situation again.

To this aim, we would be grateful if you could get in touch with us at your best convenience to further analyze these unpleasant events.

The Cristallo is an amazing property and it's staff are top notch. My fiancée and I arrived at night and though we couldn't see much as soon as we saw our room we immediately felt very comfortable there. At breakfast the next morning we finally realized we found the place where we want to get married. We are now planning to have our wedding at the Cristallo next year!

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view. Absolutely gorgeous!

Hotel built in 1901. Has seen its share of luminaries..... 5 star setting. 4 star service ( just shy of excellent) Was able to snag a room with view of ski hill and mountains. Stupendous! Hotel pool has great ambiance with all the amenities you would desire ( loungers, towels, showers, sauna, hot tubs). Hot tub temp needs to be calibrated up - water only warm. Room service very expensive. Service staff very capable - Giovanni, Maddalena, Gianlucca, etc.

At the end of a long road tour we thought we had saved the best until last ! The pre visit was excellent - great communication - the arrival first class everyone so willing to help and assist . The property and position couldn't really be bettered anywhere . Rooms and housekeeping perfect . Then it all starts going wrong . A lovely sunny day relaxing the sun deck recliners , stunning views , piece calm and drinks in hand - perfect until we are asked to go inside as the hotel want to make a promotional film and obviously we were in the way - was I dreaming had I fallen asleep - NO ! We managed to 'negotiate ' a move to the other side of the property in chairs around a table .Of course the sun umbrella had to go up to try and block us out ! Complaint registered - free drinks offered - no apology - and no move back to our recliners . OMG what's going on we are paying guests ? Breakfast - limited selection - poor hot food selection and you have to ask for everything ! I fear it's budget is based on the coach parties that use the hotel not full fare paying guests . Then to put the last dagger in both ourselves and friends get 6.30 am alarm calls this morning that we did not order ! Call me cynical but that's the oldest pay back trick in the World ! On check out the receptionist was fantastic and apologetic but unfortunately the damage was done ! Starwood sort it out because this hotel could be perfect .
