We stayed here for 4 days on a recent ski trip. The hotel is a bout 5km outside of town. The hotel have a bus service that is not so flexible on where and when it collects you, so if you don’t want to be carrying ski gear around town, it’s best to have your own car to travel to lifts.
The hotel rooms are very comfortable, good beds and bathrooms with characterful use of wood beams. The spa is the real highlight here, and it’s clear they have invested in the facilities to secure their star rating- there is a good pool, sauna, steam rooms and relaxation suites. Therapies are offered but we didn’t take them up.
The restaurant was mediocre. An overwrought menu, that was averagely cooked and served, left us with the sense that it was poor value for money. That the restaurant was nearly empty every night we were there suggests that our experience was typical. Happily, the reception team were very helpful in booking some lovely nearby restaurants for us on the other nights.
Overall, it’s a comfortable hotel with 5 star facilities but 4 star service. More
