This is an uncommon structural solution as everything is arranged under a concrete shell roof and we thought this complex really worked for us. It mainly includes a hotel, upmarket shops and a decathlon on a number of levels with many large shops and small stalls. We liked the public areas as there were places to sit and observe. The whole complex is connected to the huge la defense station complex and ground level plazas and saw this location as the start and end of our journey. We shopped a little here too.

This is a shopping complex in La Defense area, though there is not much to do in this shopping center. Visit only if you have while in La Defense.

The CNIT (‘Centre for New Industries and Technologies) is an interesting concrete and glass construction with a very unusual shape. It was one of the first buildings to be constructed (1956-1958) on the La Défense site to the west of Paris, but has been refurbished several times since then. Originally an exhibition centre, it now houses a conference centre and a small but attractive shopping mall. We went inside only to have a closer look at the immense concrete vault, which is quite spectacular. The Christmas decoration in place was an added bonus.

Average mall to visit if you are at the Hilton La Defense and need to while some time. Nothing special. Quite surprised that it didn't have a Costa, Nero, Starbucks or any coffee place. Fortunately the Nespresso gave a coffee on the house even though I didn't buy anything from them.

If you're looking to shop, I'd skip CNIT and go to the nearby Quatre Temps mall. We did visit here several times to exchange money, though. You can get to it directly from the La Defense metro station if you look for the signs.
