Only needed a place for one night. The staff were very friendly.Breakfast was good and tasty. Decor is a little bit dated but rooms were comfortable and clean. Only negative was the slow internet. It was really unuseable as everything took ages to download!

A basic hotel that was no frills and absolutely functional. The room was warm and clean, there was no noise and it was safe and secure.

We had dinner in the bar, I had the lasagna and my wife had the fish cakes. Lasagna was no more than average and the chips disappointing. The fish cakes were better.

Breakfast was overcooked for my liking and a couple of pastries would not have gone astray. Staff were friendly and chatty in the morning but were under pressure the night before.

Good Pit Stop.
I stop here annually with a group of friends on or way to Mayo fishing. Always greeted by pleasant and polite staff who don not mind walk in breakfast clients. Some hotels do as they plan for guests only but not here. In short, really nice dining room, clean and fresh decor, good range of juices and cereals, really nice cooked breakfast cooked to order, not pre cooked it seems, as much coffee, tea and toast or brown bread as you need and all for only € 8.00 . We pass several places on the road and in Galway itself to stop here and will continue to do so, keep it up Anglers Rest.

This is a dated average hotel but reasonably priced hotel.

In the village itself and the breakfast was nice. Typical irish breakfast :)

The bar is nice for a few evening drinks with the locals.

Staff friendly and welcoming. Would return again.

Stayed here for 2 nights in March 2017. All I can say is cheap but not cheerful. Staff hardly ever seen, rooms dark and old fashioned. We found the rooms quite cold as there were gaps in the window frames. The breakfast was ok but not much of it,and the bar area felt a bit out of grounds as it was full of yocal locals, which I had nothing against but they made us feel a little unwelcome.it was somewhere to rest our heads but wouldn't stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the bar
