Anyone on the Camino, or just traveling through, will miss the best little hotel in Spain if you don't stop in. The rooms are in a 200 year farmhouse building, with modern plumbing and comfortable beds. There is a great room with a fire place as well, to read or just chat with other travelers.

The husband and wife owners will make you so welcome you won't want to leave. The husband is a gourmet chef with food that can't be beat. I traveled throughout Spain, France and Italy and nothing compared to the food and friendship of this hotel. if you are on the Camino, they pick you up at the end of the day. It's a rural hotel, so no traffic, smog, noise, etc. This place rocks!

Room Tip: Higher floors give you a scenic view of the valley below the hotel

This is a lovely place! The night we stayed we were the only people who arrived by car--everyone else was a pilgrim, walking the Camino, and we all sat out under the apple tree, sharing beers and trading stories. A great time. The rooms are very nice--renovated to the highest standard. We also ate dinner. It was prepared and served by the same family who run the hotel. Again--very friendly since it is all people staying at the hotel which is not large. The food was simple but excellently prepared. A bit slow perhaps but then there is the whole long summer evening to go from course to course. Reasonably priced--both the rooms and the food. The hotel picks up and drops off pilgrims on the trail as is common in this area. We hated to drive away from this quiet retreat the next morning!

You can tell when owners are caring and involved in evert aspect of a hotels operation because all related areas show this care. Simply stated - the entire experience from the food to the service exceeded our every expectant during our 3 night stay here we were walking the camino del norte. A GREAT PLACE

As other reviewers have mentioned prior we spent 3 night here doing Camino del Norte. The Hotel provided leapfrog pick up, drop off 'taxi' service to do the entire Camino in that area.
Our room was med size with large bathroom and very quiet. B'fast was ample with large array of fruit, breads, meat, cheese, juice. Dinners were good, ample but there was no choice--you ate what the kitchen cooked which was very good 2 of the 3 nights. Wine seemed a little expensive. Staff was extremely helpful, friendly but chef could be a little exuberant!
Good: Rural, quiet
Not so good: No other place to eat, drink

We stayed 3 nights . The owners offered a service whereby they would pick us up in the evening and return us to the same spot the following day. We were there during a spell of very hot weather and it was so nice not to have to take our backpacks for 2 days. From there we completed stages of the Norte from Baamonde to Sobrado. The hotel is lovely - very peaceful and relaxed. Bed was comfortable .The owners are friendly and very helpful . Their restaurant is very good - we thought the prices were very reasonable for both food and wine and everything we had was delicious and good quality. The breakfasts were good with fresh juice and fruit ,cold meats ,cheese and homemade cakes. When I was planning our camino walk I found there was a lack of hotel accommodation around in this section of the Norte.. Nice albergues are available but its good to have a choice. We really enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation recommending Bi Terra .
