My family and I (5 adults and 2 under 10’s), visited for lunch during the school holidays, having only just managed to book a large enough table. Interior wise, it’s a very traditional, small country pub, i.e no quiz machines or a multitude of tv’s. There was a good selection at the bar, particularly the hand pumped beers (the Monty Python themed IPA especially). With regards to the food, three courses for under £90 was reasonable, and all the food was lovely. Fresh ingredients and carefully cooked. The pies (steak and ale, and Guinness and Stilton) were exceptional. A big thumbs up for Chef Alex. Will definitely return.

Visited the church house for a family sunday meal, found the staff very pleasant and very helpful, food was very good, good service as well great value for money,This was the 1st time we had visited this place but will certainly be going back, probably be advisable to ring and reserve a table if going at w/e as it's not a big place

I visited The Church House Inn 29th Sept 2017 for a friends 70th Birthday meal, this was my first visit.
Now what can I say ?
I had a great evening, the food was excellant as were the staff.
Portions good size, steak was the best I'd tasted for a long,I asked for it to be cooked medium and that's what I got, well done to the chef.
Well definitely be back.

Went for lunch with friends after a walk, our second visit. Cosy old style proper pub with dart board and skittles.
Quite extensive lunch menu at reasonable prices. Had one of the best steak pies I have had in years, served with chips , 3 veg and gravy.
Good choice of local and guest ales which obviously vary from time to time and exceptionally pleasant staff.
Will definitely visit again.
