My family and I (5 adults and 2 under 10’s), visited for lunch during the school holidays, having only just managed to book a large enough table. Interior wise, it’s a very traditional, small country pub, i.e no quiz machines or a multitude of tv’s. There was a good selection at the bar, particularly the hand pumped beers (the Monty Python themed IPA especially). With regards to the food, three courses for under £90 was reasonable, and all the food was lovely. Fresh ingredients and carefully cooked. The pies (steak and ale, and Guinness and Stilton) were exceptional. A big thumbs up for Chef Alex. Will definitely return.
