We arrived before 12 for a family lunch on the way to a family holiday. We needed a table for seven which we were allocated straight away, no waiting. The waiting staff were really pleasant and attentive, and we didn't have to wait too long to be served. Our food was well presented freshly cooked and really delicious, best of all, it was served on hot plates (wonderful!) My pork chop was the tastiest I've had in a long time, and the lemon & sage sauce which came with it was divine, as were the fresh vegetables (lovely buttery mash, broccoli, carrots, braised leeks & red cabbage & new potatoes as well) The steak pies were delicious, the chips were chunky, and the cooked breakfast well approved of. The youngest family member (age 5) ate all of her lunch, (sausage beans & chips) which was amazing! The last thing to mention was the price, which considering the quality of our meals, was incredibly reasonable ( 7 main dishes, 3 desserts, and 7 drinks came to just over £80). We will definitely call again on the way home in 2 weeks. Thank-you Cedarbarn, for a really enjoyable family meal.

Booked table for 12.00. not served until 12.50. Noone was eating between 12 and 12.45. too many people arrived for booked tables at 12 because no bookings taken after that time.
Would it be better to accept no bookings at all?
Good food when it arrived.

Shop sells lovely home made produce like chutney and preserves as well as fresh meat,. The cafe is gorgeous and the Sundat roast is extrememly good! There is a little miniature railway and pick your own in the summer is great!

The hottest breakfast I've ever had, piping hot.

Excellent food and coffee.

Only drawback, it was warm and it would have been nice to open some of the doors but wasn't sure how. But then the air conditioning kicked in and it was very pleasant.
