Took my Mum for a cream tea. Kitchen door to outside was open, crushed boxes, overflowing bin and food scraps with flies all on view as we walked to main entrance. Lovely cream tea, but got berated for taking sugar beside till as didn't see the pot on the table
Greasy tray and table. Cobwebs strewn from the ceiling, especially over the till, and the wall light above ice cream cabinet was shocking. Grubby everywhere....... door frame and handle literally filthy. fridge fronts filthy, and underneath too, obviously only sweep and wash around. Spider on large web attached to ice cream cabinet
such a shame as our tea was nice. But seriously, this place needs a proper deep clean and I can't imagine they would pass a health and hygiene check.......

Absolutely lovely cafe. The food is lovely. I had bacon and Brie baguette first time I have had it and can honestly say I haven't tasted anything better in a long time. Staff were brilliant and prices are very good. Under £9 for the baguette and a pot of tea. Will definitely be returning a lot more

We visited The Lookout within our first few minutes of arriving in Weymouth. We were staying further down at the Waterside but decided this place was easy to get to and gave us an amazing view of Weymouth. We had the Mac and Cheese, Halloumi Pitta and Cream Tea. EVERYTHING was lovely. The Mac and Cheese was the best one I've had and I'm actually not that much of a fan usually - really generous portion and very tasty with some crusty baguette to scoop with. The cream tea came with a warm plain scone and plenty of jam and clotted Cream. The Halloumi salad was really tasty and filling as well. As we were here in April it can get a bit breezy if sitting outside so take your jumper if you like to be in the sunshine! Might be different in the summer. Plenty of benches outside and lots of tables on the inside as well. A basic - but they take card which is always good! Will be back for a breakfast...they looked very good as well. Overall, good value for money with generous portions and a stunning views.

We decided to visit for lunch , we went for 2 baguettes, pulled pork, and goats cheese for the other one .
When we got them that was all it was , bit of goats cheese scattered on, with a tightly spreaded marinate.
No side salad , for £6.95 we had definitely been stitched up, good job we ordered the side order of chips another £1.10 .
My wife's was a packed more, but failed to lack any taste.
So all I can say is the final cost with a cup of tea each raised a couple of sandwiches for lunch to a mind blowing £20 !!!
All in all my advise do a KFC

The view across Weymouth Bay from here is just stunning and in good weather there are lots of tables outside to choose from. On less than perfect days there is seating inside but it’s quite small and seemed claustrophobic and noisy when full. On the very busy lunchtime we visited the staff were working hard but it was our bad luck to order just after quite a large group and so we had to wait 20 minutes or more for just a couple of baguettes. Probably worth coming along for a generous slice of one of their delicious cakes but best on a sunny day when you can sit outside.
