This venue does not have car parking for restaurant users. So we decided to go by train. The walk took about 15 minutes. We were late leaving Weymouth because of a police incident at Weymouth Station. We telephoned and the operator was very understanding. The dining room is very light and the tables are far enough apart for comfort. The staff were all very attentive and our water was topped up constantly which we were grateful because it was a very hot day. We enjoyed the view from the window. The food could not be faulted and we enjoyed it very much. We discovered it was easier to catch the bus to Poole from the High Street and then the train from Poole to Weymouth. The journey was more complicated because of industrial action by SWT train operatives. We found the hotel clean and light and the toilets were well looked after.

We recently held our wedding ceremony and reception at The Kings Arms and had the most perfect day.

All of the staff made us feel so welcome everytime we visited the hotel, both prior to the day for various meetings and during the whole weekend of our wedding.

The venue is absolutely stunning. The pavillon was the perfect setting for our ceremony, such a pretty vintage style room that would suit any theme.

We then celebrated post ceremony with cocktails and canapes on the bowling green. This was a beautiful location to capture our photos with all our guests.

We then headed to the top floor of the priory for our wedding breakfast. The food was absolutely stunning and we received so many good comments from all of our guests about how impressed they were.

The whole day ran completely smoothly and the whole team were always on hand to make sure we were happy and relaxed.

A special mention to our wedding planner Sarah. She helped keep our planning on track and keep us calm throughout the whole run up to the wedding and on the day itself. She was able to accommodate all our requests and nothing was ever too much trouble.

I would not hesitate to recommend the king's arms to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue with fabulous food and amazing staff.

Brilliant evening at The Kings celebrating a couple of special birthdays. Began with a private cocktail master class which was so much fun (thank you Parvo) and fantastic value for money . This was followed by a two course meal selected from the Market Menu. Staff were great and food excellent.

Room was a great size and had gorgeous windows that looked out the grassed area.

Bar is great, services a great range of cocktails - gets very busy on the weekend, so book a table/go down early.

Only set back is limited parking.
