The unique age of the tram and its engineering. Nice staff. I first went on it 50 years ago. Its an essential way of getting to the sea front easily.

Thanks for the lovely review - we really appreciate it.
It's been a busy summer on the south bay, so the kind words mean a lot.
Thanks from all the team. ↗️ ↘️

Quick and fun way of getting down to South Bay beach front and at £1.20 definitely worth it. No queues

Olde Worldy vehicle.
Really interesting to watch the movements before we ventured in to take the lift down to the promenade.
Actually quite quick once aboard and a great experience. Loved the fact it is still running in this modern day.

We didn't go on the tramway due to cost. It was in working order and will save your legs on the way up as the adjacent steps are a real leg burner but £1.90 per ticket seemed steep and there were four of us so I was very reluctant to pay this!

Thanks for dropping us a note on Tripadvisor about our pricing. We appreciate you taking the time to get in touch. Central Tramway fare is £1.20 each way, not £1.90, but we're sorry you felt that our pricing was too steep on your visit. Hope you had a good day on the South Bay still.
