This hostel is really nice friendly and helpful staff. Great manager who is interested and very helpful. The hostel has 30 beds and 7 rooms. Plenty of walks outside the front door on the South Downs. Would recommend it to my friends and family.

I stayed in Hostel first time and shared room with a guy that travels through Europe and live in Australia. Next morning I had my breakfast in lunge room and talked to two girls looking at the big map talking about next travel. Place was very nice and clean. Fully equipped kitchen and overall awesome experience. Travel rocks!

I had a great time at YHA eastbourne. Everyone was friendly and everything was exactly as listed, clean and comfortable. Rooms a bit crowded but common space was great. Loved the location. Service was friendly.

After passing this hostel several times on the bus from Brighton to Eastbourne several times, I decided to take a short break there. It is a small modern hostel well run by Susan ,.with every comfort you need for a self catering break with a good members kitchen. There are two footpaths just outside one leading up the hill to wonderful views across the coastline and it links in with the South Downs Way. The other is across the road called the Jubilee Way which passes through wonderful woodland and can lead you down to the coast at Holywell the west end of Eastbourne a quiet beach with a cafe and crows instead of seagulls. There is a bus stop right outside it too. Just down the hill is the Lamb Inn which dates back to 1180 and a good Waitrose for food supplies.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm very happy that you enjoyed your stay and the immediate area, it is well situated for walking being on the edge of the downs, I particularly like the "bijoux" description, much appreciated. Thank You. Susan

The YHA Eastbourne hostel was my last stop after walking 3 days on the South Downs Way trail. The hostel is located close to the trail, and was easy to find. All the amenities you would need were included, and the common area was quite cozy. Would recommend!
