Near the Clarion hotel and train station. Plenty of choices and perfect for a rainy day. Down in the basement is a wine store where you can also buy hard liquor and beer. Perfect to bring back to your hotel room to save on pricey drinks out

Oslo City may not be anything special but it is smack dab in the heart of Oslo and has public restrooms, which makes it a really useful place to know about; in theory, you have to have a code; but in practice, if you wait outside the restroom, someone will eventually come out and you can go in without charge. Most of the stores are ones you can find in other cities such as H&M, but I found one where I bought an umbrella in the midst of a pouring rain; I also had a plate of noodles at the Chinese restaurant on the mezzanine level that was reasonably priced for a sit-down dinner in this exceptionally expensive city.

It's a decent size shopping centre even though it doesn't look like it on the outside. It's got 3 floors and is connected to the train station. Well worth a stroll around plenty of shops to go into or to have a coffee or smoothie.

While visiting Oslo we stopped in at the Oslo City Shopping Center and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of stores available there. There are also many types of food offerings as well. The shopping center is easily accessed from the Central Station. There are public restrooms available. Most stores in Oslo are closed on Sundays.
