“great food, slow service”
Review of Rathaus Kitzbuhel

Rathaus Kitzbuhel
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We had chosen to come her for dinner on an impulse and largely, our experience was not disappointing. The food was good however it took too long to arrive and it was considerably expensive, although the portion sizes were quite large.

The pink Kitzbühel town hall (Rathaus), built over a road, is hard to miss; it provides an entrance into the old town. The building dates from 1531 and was restored / rebuilt in 1954/55.

Not far from the Rathaus is the town fountain (Stradbrunnen) and an excellent ice-cream shop / café (Beluna), although for coffee and snacks I would tend to head to Pano.

Asides from a relief (next to the entrance) commemorating the skier, and mayor, Franz Reisch who founded the winter sports in Kitzbühel in 1892/93 there is nothing else to see here.
