I really enjoyed my stay here. Its location is pretty much perfect: within easy walking distance of all of the main attractions and surrounded by tons of great bars and restaurants. The hostel itself is comfortable and has a nice atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again!

It is far from hbf but close to tourist attractions. There was no 24 hour reception so you must be careful to let them know the time you will arrive before check in. if the bus/train was late then it will be terrible because a guy who live there (when reception is gone) cannot speak english.

The room and toilet was clean. It is actually a dorm but the best dorm I've ever been to. Breakfast was simple but good.

This is a dorm for students open to the public until October. It's very basic and low-priced. Pros: price, location, ok breakfast included and laundry across from check in. Cons: street noise early in the morning and most rooms are singles. Good tip from Rick Steves.

Stayed 3 nights beginning of September...about 20 minutes walk from Salzburg Hbf...about 10 minutes walk from Getreidegasse and cathedral and 5 minutes walk from Mirabell Gardens, so ideally located. Got the impression part hotel and part hostel...decent sized room with modern fittings in bathroom...good breakfast...would probably stay again going back to Salzburg.

Room Tip: Rooms on the rear side could be quieter

Basically before you book you must know that there isn't 24 hour reception. The check in is only possible between 8am-12pm and 4pm-8pm.
One of ladies can't speak English it's ok until a problem comes up....
After the first night the cleaner cleared my bed and even took my T-shirt that i used to sleep. A bit weird...After they couldn't find it anywhere. It disappeared :(
I feel lucky i didn't live my charger on the bed too. It would have been gone as well probably.

The hostel is nice, room 210B is spacious and nice. The location is fabulous.
The breakfast is good.

But notice: this place is like a pilgrim place. Catholic statutes are on the floors, even a big Christ cross in the middle of the wall. I didn't mind it though.
