Stayed 2 nights at Stadtkrug Hotel in Salzburg’s old town. Very cozy and appeared to be typical Austrian. Room was a bit smaller than it appeared in picture but was clean and comfortable. Bathroom very modern and clean! Staff was helpful and knowledgeable! The breakfast was to die for! The location was absolutely perfect with short walks to many attractions, including Sound of Music locations and Mozart’s home.

This hotel is located on a pedestrian only street but taxis can access it. It is very close to the Mozart residence and just a short walk to the oldest part of the city where the Fortress is located. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A delicious breakfast is offered in the morning.

The hotel is quite old school and as such no air conditioning is allowed by building regs which can make the rooms very uncomfortable, the fan provided generaly circulates warm air. We stayed for 3 nights and to be honest by the end of it we were glad to get away and stay somewhere more modern. The food was good but not great - i have never had salad with gravy before and probably wont ever again - but the service was excellent. The location however is second to none a pity the view from our room was a brick wall.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Salzburg. A really old traditional hotel, Lovely reception and bar area, staff very helpful.
The bedrooms are basic but comfortable.
We only had one issue is that there are no air conditioning in the room so our room was a constant 27°

Amazing, historic hotel close and convenient to town/train. We recently stayed at the Stadtkrug and loved it. The room was large, with a large bathroom as well, window opened to pedestrian zone. Beautiful dark wood beams, very clean and the front reception was so very friendly. The hotel feels historic, well preserved and but updated with excellent upgrades. Well done, amazing, comfortable hotel with friendly staff.
