Description: FOR WHO LOVES TASTY AND HEALTHY FOOD SOUL FOOD restaurant was founded in Valletta on 27th July 2013 in the historical Merchant Street behind the Grand Master’s Palace. The philosophy of soul food is based on the belief that food has a direct impact on our lives; it nourishes and can create balance in our body. Food for us means nourishment of BODY, MIND and SOUL. We choose our ingredients carefully and prepare every plate freshly on order. We also offer plates specially designed for people with food intolerances and celiac, vegetarians and vegans. Our mission is to create a place for EVERYONE, combining regional Italian food with a vegan and vegetarian line; a place where food, soul and wellbeing come together and where the relaxing atmosphere and soul food team create the scenography. We lovingly create a SELECTION of DISHES: homemade VEGAN AND VEGETARIAN BURGER, FRESH PASTAS, RAW SALADS, WONDERFUL BUDDHA BOWLS, homemade PIADINA and artisan CAKES paired with refreshing SMOOTHIES.

This was a delicious meal! I ordered the Tofu Buddha bowl (with hummus, pita and lots of veggies) and also tasted the soup. Both were incredible. Ask for balsamic vinegar because there’s no dressing on the Buddha bowl.

it is a nice restaurant, with lot of vegan options, but must say the food (raw salat) did not make me full, so I ordered dessert, which was awesome!
My recommendations to go there!

We visited Soul Food on the day we arrived in Malta. It was a warm day, we were hungry, and settled on one of the outside tables for lunch.
The service was efficient and unfussy and the food both tasty and filling.
We each had a glass of wine which was decent as well. Would recommend Soul Food for a filling and healthy lunch option.

If you want to be sure of a healthy meal without losing any of the taste, then this is the place in Valletta. I took home made spaghetti with fresh fennel pesto and my wife home-made pasta lasagna with fresh tomato sauce (no meat). With a glass of good wine and a bottle of sparkling water, the bill amounted to Euro 32. The full menu includes many more items of the Italian and Maltese cuisine, including raw salads, buddha bowls, burgers, all vegan and vegetarian. Prices reasonable considering the home made element.

A must try even if one is not a vegetarian. Good quality at a reasonable price.
We loved both the food and service.
