Absolutely beautiful hotel with a dark and sultry vibe but combined with beautiful aesthetic and friendly and helpful staff made for a wonderful stay!

Excellent location, room was small but warm, buffet breakfast very nice.
Shower was poor, a slow trickle if hot water required, ok if you wanted a cold shower

A really lovely hotel, staff were welcoming and approachable. Fantastic location for the main shopping, restaurants and cafes. In addition 2 minutes from the pickup/drop off points for the sight seeing trips.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff. Good breakfast. Great location.
Room was a decent size and bed very comfortable. Loved the separate duvets!! Cleaned on request.
The staff were all helpful and we were able to leave our bags as we arrived early and left late.

skuggi is in a great location—close to a bus stop and about a 15 minute walk to downtown. The breakfast, which is included is very good as well. The staff was helpful and courteous and the room/building was very clean. Highly recommend!

I stayed at the Skuggi Hotel on a recent trip to Reykjavík. The location is great and allowed me to walk to many attractions such as Hallgrimskirkja, Rainbow Street, the National Gallery and Harpa (to name a few). The rooms are typically European (i.e. small) but comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming and I appreciate their attempts at sustainability. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience here
