Customer service is what makes this hotel!

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Mar 14, 2022
Stayed here 6-9th March.

The rooms are basic but did the job. Could be a little cleaner, dust on the lamps etc but the beds and bathroom were clean so that's the main thing.
The rooms were very toasty, we had brought hot water bottles with us not knowing what to expect and we didn't need to use them once.

The best thing about this hotel was the customer service. The staff helped us so much with a few issues - including having the wrong case!
They helped with bus stop locations, happy to ring around to confirm you were attending your trips etc.

The hotel seemed a little out the way, but as it goes it seemed to be the best location because we were always being picked up outside the hotel for trips when other hotels were having to walk to bus stops.

Would stay here again if I returned to Reykjavik!

This hotel was booked by the tour company and the reviews were good. We arrived after a stressful start to the holiday and immediately felt relaxed when we met Mike & Dido.
They helped us to plan the excursions and suggest a place to eat, which luckily was a block away, as it was windy, cold and snowing. Would suggest you pay a visit to Ginger, the healthy fast food place.
The rooms were a good size, warm, comfortable & clean, with a small fridge. The water was hot and as you would expect in Iceland has a slight sulpher smell. The beds were certainly comfortable. Breakfast was self service continental with Dido herself making fresh waffles, endlessly.
Although we didn't use the bar the seating area was pleasant.

Room tip: Perhaps the only drawback is the fact that it is a little way out of town. In summer it would be fine but rather a trudge in winter, with the snow.

This hotel was so clean and all the staff very friendly, we arrived early but no issue room was ready .The room was spacious very clean and had a fridge and the beds were very comfy .The breakfast is limited but pancakes were amazing. We had an issue with key card couldnt get in rang reception bell and came straight away to help and it was gone midnight. The bar was quirky and very pleasant also all the staff were so friendly. Was concerned as the hotel was like in an industrial estate but believe me no concern needed so quiet at night and far enough out but could still walk to shops .Highly recommended for anyone who likes a good nights sleep 😴

Arrived yesterday, the man on reception was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and warm with everything we needed. He helped me book our excursions and gave me information on the local area to help us make the most of our 3 days. The couple that run the hotel are really lovely. Breakfast is really good with lots of choices. Would highly recommend.

We stayed in this hotel in November 2019 and had a nice time. It's not too close to the centre of Reykjavik but we had arranged many different excursions during our stay in which we were picked up outside the front door of the hotel. All the main excursion companies are well connected to the hotels and offer pick up/drop off. There is a few small restaurants and shops nearby such as KFC, Subway as well a Pizza place and a bakery. There is also a Bonus supermarket nearby too which is handy.

Reykjavik has decent bus connections and you can catch a bus to the city centre nearby.

The hotel has a bar but we didn't use this. The room was nice. It was basic but provided everything we needed for our stay (we spent majority of our time away from the hotel)

I would recommend this hotel for short stays and especially if you have activities booked with tour companies.
