This is my favorite place to stay in Reykjavik. The breakfast is amazing and I love that I am usually the only one in the gym in the early mornings. This is the seventh year that I have stayed at the Sand for an annual conference, and this year I was surprised by the it was extra to have a cappuccino at breakfast. Also my room attendant did not replace my drinking glasses.

The hotel is delightful, with friendly staff and extremely comfortable beds that almost make you want to skip breakfast—but it's not to be missed! A blend of Continental and Icelandic foods makes it one of the best hotel breakfasts I've experienced. The pastries and coffee provided for our early morning departure were a particularly nice touch!
