This new lakeside cafeteria named RantaSmoothie is excellent. They offer coffee, ice coffee, tea, smoothie, juice, soda pop, mocktail, ice-cream, delicacy bowls (Rocky Road or blueberry pie with white chocolate) etc. All products are as local as possible. Soft drinks are from Nokia, coffee is roasted in Ylöjärvi etc.

On Sundays (at 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.) they sell brunch picnic packages: NiceCreambowls (Rocky Road or blueberry pie), croissants, cinnamon rolls, mocktails and coffee (20 euros per person). They also lend a beach blanket. It is a good idea to make an advance booking.

I fell in love with this cafeteria. The summer terrace is situated right on the lake, but there isn't any sandy beach there. Notice also that they have only outdoor seating. There is a playground next to this cafeteria. There are also new multi-storey buildings for local residents next to this cafeteria.

The summer terrace is an excellent place to watch the sunset. Besides, the new lakeside walking route from the city center of Tampere is very beautiful, too. First follow River Tammerkoski, walk through Aleksandra Siltasen puisto Park and then follow the lakeside walking route under bridges. The distance from Aleksandra Siltasen puisto park is only 400-500 meters. Follow the lakeside route all the way. Don't rely on Google Maps at the moment. So far it doesn't know the new lakeside route.

I bought very delicious coffee powder to take home, too. Now we can enjoy their coffee and watch beautiful lakeside photos at home.
