“The best and easiest shopping in Helsinki”

Itis Shopping Complex
Ranked #114 of 340 things to do in Helsinki
Attraction details
Reviewed 7 November 2017

The Itis shopping centre is nowadays the second-biggest shopping centre in Finland. There are hundreds of shops and service providers under one roof: you can get everything from fashion to Finnish design, like Pentik. In addition, there are lots of restaurants, pubs, and cafes. The crown jewel is the Stockmann department store, which is not, though, quite as big as the city centre outlet. If you are looking for budget prices, you should try the Tokmanni in the basement, best accessed by escalator from the mid of the complex to the left. And all this is easy to reach in 14 minutes by the east-bound subway from the main railway station. Get off at Itäkeskus. You will get straight into Itis if you choose the Eastern exit.

Itis shopping mall is Finlands biggest mall. It has almost all you need and if you where it is handy and convinient. Most of the cafes are occupied by foreigners and it has a very multicultural vibe.

For a demanding taste ITIS has nothing to offer. But when looking for basic equipments such as socks, underwear, leggings or going for a food shopping, ITIS is OK. But it isn't actually "Scandinavia's largest shopping mall" what they attempt to use in their marketing - there are two things wrong: 1) Finland is not part of Scandinavia 2) The Scandinavia's largest shopping mall is found in the suburbs of Stockholm, Sweden.

Itis shopping mall is easily reached by subway or own car. There's a lot of free parking places under the mall. Big variety shops and lots of different places to eat or have a cup of coffee.

Visited on a snowy day ,great as it has underground parking and the metro from the city centre..This shopping complex is excellent and mobility friendly.I think every shop in Finland gas an outlet here, from mid- range to high end.If course I live in the UK so every thing feels quite expensive but there were sales on up to 70% off
The area is so clean be feels light and airy and a great range of cafes and restaurants.
