A lovely hotel, well kept and very clean, with exceedingly helpful and friendly staff. We stayed here for a week and felt at home. Angela is a fount of knowledge and advised us on restaurants and beaches, Virginia and Boris could not have been more friendly or welcoming. Initially, there was a slight issue with our booking but this was resolved in a way that was satisfactory and professional.
As noted by others, the hotel is only a short walk to the Old Town, and if you have a car it has FREE parking right across the street - this is a godsend in Rethymnon - plus the location of the hotel makes it easy to get in & out of town which is convenient.
Our room (no. 201) was spacious & airy and fairly quiet, although being on the outside corner of the hotel there was some noise from the street early in the morning - this wasn't too bad, we don't like A/C so had the windows open hence the disturbance (though my husband slept through it anyway!) We enjoyed our stay here very much.

The Hotel is in a great location, in the quieter quarter of old town, right under the Fort, but old town start’s on your doorstep, you can walk to all parts of old town within 15 minutes, for example, the old harbour, and its restaurants and bars, and there is plenty to explore in-between. The Hotel is also a great location to explore the surrounding area, it has its own private car park, the local bus, and tourist bus stops, are a five minute walk away.
The Hotel has very clean, comfortable rooms, very friendly and informative staff, very attentive, yet not overbearing. The rooms are kept to a very high standard, with kettle, fridge, coffee maker, hot plates, cooking utensils, china and cutlery. There is a nice mix of continental and cooked breakfasts, orange juice, tea’s and coffee. There is a small yet well stocked bar, and outdoor seating area, for breakfast or that end of day drink. There is even a small roof terrace.
There are many local restaurants and Taverna’s close to the hotel on the same street,(Melissinou). Highly recommended, will definitely revisit.

This is a lovely little hotel with loads of easily accessed parking, which is a bonus in this town. Check in was easy and quick, we were given a brief guided tour of the hotel and shown to our room. We were invited to have a complimentary glass of raki by the pool. It is more of a plunge pool , it is very attractive but we were unable to enjoy using it as Crete had the first rain since April the day after we arrived! We had a small suite , which was comfortable and well equipped, with a clean bathroom. The air conditioning was the quietest I have ever known. Breakfast had a good choice of hot and cold foods, although the breakfast room is rather bright and stark unlike the rest of the hotel. We had a small balcony and a nice view of the fortress. We had a very enjoyable stay here. I don't think the hotel has a lift so ask for a ground floor room if this could be a problem.

Room Tip: We had a room on the third floor , it had a good view but as it was at the front it could be a little noisy.

We spent one night in this hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted with a glass of raki by a super-friendly receptionist who wanted to make us feel comfortable and answer all our questions. The old city of Rethymno is a quaint and beautiful place. What makes it beautiful is the narrow roads and alleyways which were built for horses and people - not for automobiles. This makes staying in the old city a challenge. We chose this hotel because while it is inside the old city, across the road it has a parking lot with plenty of room. One can drive to the hotel, drop off suitcases and easily park across the road. This is a huge advantage. The breakfast was generous and fresh; and our room had more than one balcony and a modest kitchenette. Our only regret is that we were not able to spend more time at this first class hotel.

We stayed here for 10 days and from the moment we arrived until the moment we left we really felt valued as guests. I could not fault the staff at all. A cheery hello every time we saw any of them. The room we had was a junior suite and was a nice sized bedroom with a kitchenette/sitting room next to it. Very knowledgeable staff. Would not hesitate to stay here again. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful and the pool although small was great to dip in to after a hot day.
