This place is awe inspiring. You have to see it to believe it. 20 Euros for a one day pass to The Acropolis or 30 Euros for the Acropolis and a half dozen other sites all within 15-30 minutes walking distance. You can only visit each site once during a 4-5 day visit.

Well worth the climb and wandering around the ruins but be careful the marble rock its built on is very polished and slippery.

I think it’s fair to say that the Acropolis is one of the most iconic tourist highlights in Europe and maybe even in the world. The entrance fee (€20) is certainly worth it. I would recommend bringing some water as the site itself doesn’t offer any refreshments (other than outside of the gate). Other than that, enjoy and marvel at the beauty of Ancient Greece.

Great view from the top of the Akropolis. Once on top, you can see the Areopagus (Mars Hill) and the Parthenon. Small cafe with poor sandwiches and drinks available there.
