The Normanton Tourist Park offers powered sites and cabin type accommodation. I stayed in a single cabin at the back of the park which was air conditioned with an en suite and free to air TV. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable but only had one pillow. There is a hard plastic chair in the room but on the deck is a table and chair setting and these chairs are more comfortable but there is no shade.

There are large cabins which I believe have a kitchen.

The is a 25m pool which is great to cool off in at the end of the day next to the pool is the camp site kitchen which is well equipped for people who want to cook their own meals.

The site is with walking distance to all three pubs for meals and the snack bar where takes aways and breakfasts can be bought.

I recommended advanced bookings for camping sites as fir tbe four days i stayed here the site was well used with lots of departures and arrivals. Make sure you get here early as the office closes around 5 pm

This caravan park is extremely busy - bookings are essential during the peak period which runs from Mother's Day to Father's Day.
Fantastic pool - great to cool down in.
Close to all amenities, but the train station is a drive.
Only 70kms to Karumba so a great place to base yourself.

We had booked in here but turned 2 days early. They were very helpful and fitted us in. Amenities were very clean, the pool a delight and the park is very central to the pubs and small shops. All in all a pleasant stop.

Apart from a magnificent large pool, hot spa, this park is a big friendly place to stay while in the area. The managers do a great job keeping grassed areas pleasant and aging facilities clean and well maintained. Staff also help to make your stay great as much as they can and offer lifts to the station for anyone catching the Gulflander. Slabs on some sites are a bit uneven and during the dry season (winter) sites can be a bit dusty but these are trivial matters when taken in the whole context of the park.

We stayed for 3 nights friendly staff great pool some grassy sites but there are little brown ants that get into your van and bite so talcomb powder or spray is a must. Nice little town great bakery. Albion pub has really good food.
