The hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in. Travelled extensively due to my profession, and visited 43 countries. It is a real paradise, heaven on earth! The gardens, views, service, rooms, food, friendly staff, cleanliness, and everything about it exceeded my expectations. Would definitely return next year. Thank you for your excellent hospitality.

We had a great stay last year and booked for this year almost as soon as we got back. This isn't something we normally do and our expectations were obviously high as we were so happy last year. I'm pleased to say that this year's trip was equally as good! There are obviously a number of very good hotels in Funchal to choose from. You will not be disappointed if you choose this one. The rooms are spacious (we had a Superior Double), spotlessly clean and housekeeping is excellent. Fresh fruit in your room on arrival and bottled water every day. We were welcomed back as if we were old friends and given a complimentary drink at the pool bar as we arrived before check in. A nice touch was a bottle of bubbly in our room as returning guests. The breakfasts are excellent, the pool is great and the dinners in the restaurant are very good. What really sets apart this hotel though is it's wonderful staff. They are all so cheerful and helpful. They really do go out of their way to make your stay fantastic.

A little paradise on this planet. Wonderful hotel, staff is very friendly and helping with everything related to our amazing holidays on this beautiful island. We stayed in the Presidential Suite for two weeks and enjoyed the hotel and the view across the gardens and the ocean a lot. The pool is very nice and relaxing. Highly recommendable!
