We did enjoy our stay here, particularly the quiet pool area with stunning views and always available beds. However, lots of small things that added up, there is no fridge, just a very small mini bar, the shower and bath is quite dated and the aircon struggled a little. Breakfast was a little disappointing as a lot of the cooked food was either over/under cooked. The hotel is in a great location for restaurants and the city centre is walkable
A great hotel and friendly staff. A good location near the lido which is cheap and good for swimming in the sea. The hotel arranged great trips around the West and east of the island and to nuns valley, highly recommend these. We loved madeira and would stay at the hotel again and a great service from jet 2.
Booked this adult only hotel through Jet2. Hotel and room lovely but the balcony’s overlook a very large, very noisy public lido. We spent many afternoons and evenings listening to the shrieks and screams of happy children. Jet2 had carefully not included this in write up or photos.
One main reason for booking this hotel was for evening entertainment, Jet2 stated that there was ‘ regular evening entertainment including live music’. This turned out to be a man coming in carrying a small keyboard on Monday and Thursday evenings. Not what we were expecting!!
This is the second holiday that we has been misled by Jet2 advertising. Will not use them again.
Staff are extremely helpful and always available for any queries. The room was spacious and clean with an amazing sea view. Breakfast choice was great, fresh & ample. Did not have an evening meal so cannot comment on this. The outside dining area is really lovely, so nice to have breakfast in the sun. The outdoor pool is not huge but enough to keep you cool. There is also an indoor pool with sauna and gym. I booked a single room and the supplement is very reasonable. Courtesy cat which drops off and picks up in the town several times a day. All in all I would recommend the hotel for a wonderful stay.
A lovely hotel with coastal views from all rooms on the far west side of Funchal. It was very peaceful, in part because it did not cater for children. We went bed and breakfast, but optional, inexpensive and tasty dinner packages were available. Near to a range of restaurants and shops but quite a way out of the centre - although a free hotel shuttle and a frequent public bus service was available. Friendly staff and nice, clean bedrooms.
