Just had a fantastic stay at this hotel staying in rm 103. Check in was smooth. The staff are absolutely amazing. It's a long time since we stayed in a hotel where the staff provide the personal touch like this. They are so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is really nice with hot and cold options. Bar snacks round the pool were tasty and reasonably priced.
The hotel is clean and comfortable. We had a pool/sea/garden view which was amazing.
The pool area and gardens are really pretty. There is a path of flowers and grape vines leading directly into the Old Town area with all the bars and restaurants. The hotel is like a little oasis, quiet and pretty.
We will 100% return. We love Funchal. It's a walkable, safe city.

What a goldmine of a hotel. Staff lovely , location perfect and breakfast amazing (only thing missing was a kettle in the room ) and just a 1 minute walk to the old town. Would highly recommend the West tour . Would not normally go back to the same place twice but would do on this occasion

What a wonderful find. Lovely small, friendly hotel in an ideal location close to ‘old town’ Funchal and sea front. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble. Our room on the third floor had views out over the ocean and was well presented and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a bowl of freshly cut fruit to die for. The small garden and pool provided a relaxing area to enjoy and the hidden path directly to the old town was a real gem. We would return anytime.
