Before visiting buy your tickets online and download the ticket to your phone. This means no waiting in lines at the start of the day. You simply walk through an empty line to the front. I would also advise of being there for opening time (I think this was 10am but please do check).

The "temporary" exhibit isn't all that great and you can walk through in less than ten minutes.

The main aquarium is pretty impressive but is only slightly ruined by the amount of people visiting. We spend about an hour and a half to see the whole place but you could spend longer.

Its a very good aquarium but I have been to better hence the 4/5 stars.

The aquarium is located outside of the main town with a small shopping centre which is good to get a meal at. Also the science centre is located next door so you could easily spend a day in this area.

Visited this place today after a recommendation to do so. Got the metro from where we were staying - for day pass on metro €6.80 each so well worth it! Easily spent about 3 hours here. Meant to be the largest aquarium in Europe and didn't disappoint. Very well laid out over numerous floors. Very informative, with cinema style infographic videos. Kids play area also, along with spots of seating. The main tank in centre is def the highlight - amazing to be so up close and personal to sharks, fish, sting rays etc. Queue to get tickets quick - tickets €18 each so bit pricey but happy to pay it. Restaurant there but didn't eat. Good few school tours of kids in so was busy. Currently undergoing renovations so say brill when done! Highly recommend!

Easy to get to via the metro from the centre of Lisbon. If possible get there for when it opens and book tickets in advance. Avoid if you don't like crowds but well worth a visit.

We'd heard good things but weren't definitely going to go as we had other plans. However, the weather put pay to them so we visited the Oceanarium and we had a great time.

The main display is full of interesting creatures and while the penguins get top billing, I was very taken with the otters.

15 Euros per adult is fair price for such an excellent attraction.

Beautiful set up with a main exhibit to die for: well stocked, multiple viewing points on two levels. Very impressed with the sea otters and penguins, both of which can be viewed from above and then from below the water. Delighted to see wolfeels in real life for the first time. My only regret was the number of people who were there - that made it hard to see some things. Highly recommend that you buy tickets on line before you go (cheaper by 10% and no queing to get in), and choose a quieter time. It is dark in there so watch your step
