We ended up finding this tucked away restaurant using our Lonely Planet Portugal book and we were not disappointed. The service was fantastic, the drinks were wonderful and the surf and turf meal (recommended by our server) was delicious. We recommend for a nice dinner during sunset.

Wonderful food, amazing view (best sunset view in Coimbra), gracious staff, terrific value .... hard to find. It's hidden behind the museum. When facing the museum, look to the street-way on the right. It is under construction now, but don't let that stop you. There is a delineated pedestrian path. A hidden jewel. And, try the house wine!
