Good value delicious vegan and vegetarian good. Ask Pedro for some tips of where to eat and visit in Portugal.

We used our GPS to find this restaurant near the hospital in Coimbra. We were mistaken in our belief that it would be open until 6pm and arrived at 4:30 to find it closed, the food gone from the cases and folks doing clean up. The woman at the counter explained the situation but in true Portuguese fashion offered us some coffee or dessert. She must have seen the serious disappointment on our faces as she called out the cook and had a friendly dialogue while we waited for the verdict. The cook very graciously offered to cook some tofu, vegies and rice for us. "Oh yes, please"!
She made delicious plates of the tofu dish and a fresh salad. It was all tasty and well presented.
Unfortunately, we are not going back to Coimbra but for those visiting, please try this nice little restaurant for some lovely vegetarian food and super nice staff. Just call first to check closing time!
