The museum has been closed for renovation and we went on the first day it opened which was also International Museums day. Entrance was free but I was not sure if it is always free. We were blessed by the presence of a charming man from the Town Hall who was their antiquities expert and he talked us through the displays and took us inside the well. As a museum it was great but even if you are not that interested in history go to the top floor and you can get out onto the old city battlements and walk around.
