First thing to stress is that the castle is very small (basically a preserved section of the town wall with an archeological museum attached and some cultural displays); however it is very well executed and only costs €1.62 for adults with children free. We visited with our 4 and 6 year olds and found plenty of things to occupy us for 45 mins or so. The staff were very helpful - explaining the exhibits and there were also guides and some signs in English. Nice views from the tower also. Great for what it is; just don't expect a theme park! Also pop into the church opposite while you are there.
