Strolling around Loule with the guv’nor, we chanced upon a cafe with a twist, run by a really friendly Dutch couple.
First, the coffee....excellent taste and choice. The young lady barista clearly knows her beans, this was one of the best coffees I’ve had. Barista is a much abused word in most coffee shops, this lady delivered magnificently, just as a barista should.
Next the food....well, the Mrs simply salivated over and raved about the homemade scones with jam & cream (anything to keep her happy) and I was more than happy with the fruit & muesli.
Then the twist....the lady barista’s very very lucky husband was offering olive oil and salt tastings and weaving a silky tale as an accompaniment. The choice, quality and tastes were again superb and unsurprisingly the Mrs instructed me to make a couple of purchases.
Great decor and good, friendly service topped it all off.
This place deserves to succeed, definitely worth a visit.
