We dont expect much of local museums. However Faro's museum is amazing. It is on an old convent and the permanent exhibits include a walk on the outskirts of ancient rome, a visit to an islamic house, and 4 centuries of paintings. My favorite the mistery of the romain ocean mosaic. If you get bored, there are exhibits on ceramics, hats, modern photography but hurry, they are temporary. In short a place to have fun.

nice small museum.

Having a hard time remember the details of this plan - but do remember that I liked it. We saw a stork nest from the top. Goofy review, huh.

Varied museum in interesting building

The building is beautiful and fascinating with more and more things appearing round every corner. The museum is made up of a wide range of different permanent and temporary exhibitions so there'll always be something for every taste. At Euro 2 (or 1 for concessions) it is amazing value.

pleasant two hours

Not the biggest or easiest to find but a nice surprise very cheap(for us with concessions) but would have payed full price would not recommend for young children very peaceful.

Beautiful architecture

If you're in Faro, don't forget to visit this museum. It's not free but it's only cost €2 for an adult so it's worth a visit. The building itself was built since 16th century and it's so beautiful. All exhibitions are in small rooms, lots of history and you'll probably only need a couple of hours there.

Great morning

If you enjoy arts and history this is the place. 2.50 Euro well worth it. Lots of history, 17th century painting. Will make a great raining day visit. Closed on Mondays.
