We booked this B&B in August - after seeing some lovely photos. We were actually looking for a place closer to the city centre, but saw that this B&B had a really nice swimming pool and sauna. 2 days before arriving at B&B, we received an e-mail from the owner stating that the "wellness" part of the B&B would cost 20 euros, for 2 hours, per person.

This would mean an extra 160 euros on top of our 610 euro booking. An additional 25%, just to use the swimming pool!! When I replied to the owner that I did not agree on this whilst booking the room, and that his B&B is called 'aquarius boutique' the swimming pool should be included I received a very rude e-mail from the owner, and I quote (but translated) "Where do you come off by setting demands?", while I did not make any demands at all, but was just asking for explanation of this business practice.

Of course, I replied back saying that it felt like we have been mislead, and that if we were going to there the feeling of a nice holiday would not be met, and asking for a good solution. Besides this I e-mailed booking.com - the site we booked through - about the false advertisement by the business owner.

The next day I received the reply of the owner saying that he cancelled our booking. To be sure, I asked if this would be without charge - as the cancelation period was already over. Luckily this was the case.

Booking.com called me shortly after, saying that the reply they received from the owner was very short, just that he wanted to cancel our reservation. They told me this was very strange, so they called the owner. He told booking.com that after consensual agreement the booking was cancelled - this was not the case, as we just received a notification.

1/10 - would not recommend anybody. Owner is rude to you when you have certain expectations based on the name of the B&B and the photo's out there.

Room Tip: Do not go to this place unless you like to be charged extra for services which are advertised as included.

I want to mention that you booked a nice suite for 150 euro breakfast included, a smart deal at booking.com. It isn't indicated that the wellness is included in the roomprice. We ask 20 euro pp for 2 hours to use the wellness. Wellness includes jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish steambath, indoor swimming pool. Use of towels, bathrobes, and slippers included. This is really a nice price. So i'am surprised if people are assuming that wellness is included in the roomprice, because it is nowhere indicated as free. I cancelled the booking because i only want satisfied customers.

Very stylishly designed boutique hotel. It even has a wellness including a sauna, a pool and a steam cabin.

Our room had a bath, but lacked a shower. Upon arrival the owner asked us to shower in the wellness, ofcourse water ruins the room. It meant crossing the 'public' rooms every morning towards the welness and taking a shower there in your bathing suit. It felt like being on a campsite.

There is a minibar, you are not allowed to bring your own drinks into the wellness. Coffee and tea are included but this means making a powder coffee by adding boiled water. Breakfast is not included, and there are no breakfast restaurants nearby.

The hotel is a 10 min. drive from the Gent city centre. We got there late in the afternoon and didn't feel like driving to gent anymore. The owner told us that there were enough dining options along the road but didn't recommend anything in particular. Try using tripadvisor, it turned out that there is at least one excellent option in the village nearby.

We could have known this before we went there as this is al witten on the website. Yet looking back I was expecting more comfort and service for the money we paid. I would not go back there or recommend this place to friends for the reasons stated above.

This is a Lovely Hotel/B&B, with each individual room decorated to a fine taste of quality and style. It's a peaceful place to stay with it's own private pool, sauna, Turkish Bath and Jacuzzi. The Host is a lovely Man who is very obliging and even said we could have private use of the wellness centre for a couple of hours should we need to, although you hardly saw anyone in there as the Hotel seems to be used by mainly businessmen.
This is a place for adults only and would be great for anyone wanting some private space for a bit of romance. We stayed in the Loft Suite which has it's own private balcony that gets the sun all afternoon, so was ideal for sitting out on with a glass of wine,or two. There is a winding staircase that leads up the the entrance to the room that also has a small balcony with a table and two chairs, this has the morning sun on it. The Hotel is in a quiet residential area so there's hardly anyone about. So Nice.

Room Tip: Each room is beautifully decorated and apart from each other, so all are peaceful.

Very comfortable accommodation, high quality fittings, attentive host, great breakfast, and Wellness Centre is everything you need. Very easy access to highway and parking which is valuable in Ghent but close enough to the tram to be convenient and the little walk is good for you. Can't praise it highly enough
