Description: The Harbour Club Rotterdam opened its doors in 2010 in the former 'Parkzicht': an almost hundred-year-old villa in one of the city parks of Rotterdam, near the Euromast. An extraordinary location for an extraordinary restaurant! The ambiance is a lot like that of 'The Boathouse Café' in New York's Central Park. Inside, the restaurant is styled as a rugged-looking modern day restaurant. A visit to The Harbour Club is pure and intense enjoyment, guaranteed. High-quality cooking with a dash of playfulness, but always with an eye for detail. On sunny days, guests can lounge on the renovated luxurious patio. Enjoy yourself amongst the green of the park, or experience a relaxed way to do business without the roadway noise and other loud sounds of the city. Are you looking for quality in a relaxed environment? Then you will feel right at home at The Harbour Club Rotterdam.

Enjoyed the meal; nice location, good ambience and seemingly very popular even on a week night. Had sushi as a starter, and tuna main. Quality was uniformly good, though perhaps short of exceptional. Dining partners raved about the bouillabaisse. Service was good. I wasn't paying the bill so can't comment on the price, but overall was a nice evening out .

The good:

Has a great location that is accessible - close to the harbour area (hence the name), business district but also good residential areas.
The setting of the restaurant is wonderful and the building and facilities. The bar space and Serre are nice and in good weather, the outside terrace is great!
The ambiance generally is good as it still has a reputation that attracts clients - its generally busy Fridays and Saturdays both with the bar and dining crowds; it's definitely a place for the trend conscious 'see and be seen' crowd in Rotterdam.

The not-so-good:

As others have indicated, the food is fairly standard fare and not dream haute cuisine and is rather overpriced.
They are not quite accommodating in terms of special menu requests and changes (which may be fine for most). I'd not bring this up ordinarily but also linked to this is that the service can be a bit inattentive - even when not busy.

Overall it is satisfactory if not spectacular.

We come to the Harbour Club a couple of times a year, mostly Rotterdam. We like the location in the park, the interior, the atmosphere and the food. However, it's quite over priced at the same time, particularly when it comes to the seafood and on occasion, the service.

Is a great place in the nice part of town, has its own parking space and valet service. Good welcoming and nice atmosphere. We went for a family dinner on Sunday with 6 people. The service was not so great, despite the fact that the majority of tables were empty due to the early hour. They refused to change the wine which we didn't quite like, was disappointing and you don't expect it in a classy restaurant. Changing a bottle was never a problem in my experience.

We ordered a special steak and were very disappointed. It arrived on a wooden plateau, became cold immediately and tasted like rubber. Fish was better, but nothing special though. We ended up with circa 400 euro bill and not satisfied.

Good place for having late drinks with friends, disappointing if you want to enjoy good quality food. HC Amsterdam is much better in that regard.

very fair and pleasant restaurant, good service. Food- I was not thrilled as in HC in Amsterdam where food was outstanding. Because of the atmosphere and friendly stuff I would definitely come back.
